The Korean War
On June 25, 1950, the tension between North and South Korea reached a point of no return. North Korea smashed into South Korea’s territory, sparking the Korean War. The North pushed back the Republic of Korea Army (South) and an insignificant amount of Americans garrisoning the country. As it hit August, The South Korean and U.S. forces were constricted around the port city of Pusan
. Since North Korea’s invasion was an act of aggression, The United Nations was on the U.S. and the South’s side. The U.S. produced heavy military and naval involvement because of this. In mid-September, a daring invasion at Incheon damaged the North Korean war machine. Two months later, united nation armies pushed North Koreans up north. Although, victory was within sight it all changed when the Chinese intervened. The United Nations was tossed back midway into South Korea. In the beginning of the New Year, the Chinese were contained and forced to retreat. By mid-1951, the two sides were fighting where the war was once started. Finally, on July 28, 1953, with negotiations concluded and differences put aside, but sides signed an armistice.
The significance of this war was that because of this war, the peninsula remained divided and that the tension between the North and South escalated. Significance is that this is the first hot war. The Korean War ultimately caused hundreds of thousands of casualties and billions of dollars.

The Montgomery Bus Boycott
December 1st, 1955 was the day Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white man riding the Montgomery bus in Alabama. She was seating in a coloured section which she was able to seat in if the bus was not full, but as time go by the bus became full. Rosa was forced to move but she didn't and her actions led to a arrest and fine for breaking the law of segregation. This historic event was how the Montgomery Bus Boycott was triggered and how it was the start to the Civil Rights Movement. The boycott was started by the African-American Leaders that got together and said to the African-American population to boycott and not use the buses for a day. This led to public buses to have no customer & the only people that were riding it were the whites. The boycott lasted for 381 days , until the US Supreme Court said segregation on buses is unconstitutional and ordered a change |

Who's that whispering to me in the dark? Why, it's coming from the kitchen, but... I live alone.
Not to worry, it's just Coke Boy™. Many years ago, Coke Boy™ shook a bottle of Coke™ so hard that the cap burst off and logged into his head, instantly ceasing his existence.
Now the ghost of Coke Boy™ creeps through the night, and whispers for thirsty citizens through the ether to come hither and quench themsleves with his sweet carbonated nector. Only until Coca Cola™ reaches sales projections can he pass onto the afterlife.
